The external access flooring to get to the rooms was made with old oak wood. The trunks, cut into slices, untreated, were laid without the use of any cement material.
The charming village of Menaggio stands on the shores of Lake Como, a short distance from Lake Lugano; this position makes it an ideal starting point for any type of excursion.
The excellence of Menaggio is certainly its lakefront which offers a spectacular view of the center of the lake and the mountains that surround it. From here you can admire the profile of Bellagio and the Grigne. Its beauty and mild climate have made Menaggio a renowned holiday resort for over a century, as evidenced by the beautiful villas, including Villa Belfaggio, Villa D'Azeglio, Villa Govone and Villa Vigoni, built in the residential area of Loveno.
In addition to the lakeside promenade, the ancient village and the well-kept lido are not to be missed in Menaggio. Among the churches, the parish church of Santo Stefano, the church of S. Marta, the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Pace and the small church of the Alpini are worth a visit, which are jewels of recollection and peace in the panoramic hamlets of Nobiallo and Croce.
If you love walking surrounded by spectacular nature, you are spoiled for choice: there are the woods of Val Sanagra, the paths starting from Plesio and Breglia (785 metres) or trekking on Monte Grona at 1400 metres, a crossroads of paths towards the upper lake and in the Cavargna Valley.
